Several weeks ago, the new study cycle of the Friday Beit Medrash of 5778 opened, with the learning dedicated l’ilui nishmat Danielle Sonnenfeld. This marks the 20th year of Friday morning Torah study in Beit Haknesset Lechu Neranena, a spiritual hub of Torah and prayer in the city of Raanana.
The learning program, arranged by the members of the Kehillah, attracts dozens of residents from Raanana and beyond, with both the lecturers and participants spanning the spectrum of Torah Jews.
The congregation boasts a wondrous mosaic of Judaism—young and old, Torah scholars and academics, distinguished professionals and blue-collared workers, all of whom converge in the Beit Medrash with the shared goal of learning and living Torah. In addition to the learning, the program also includes educational tours of areas that relate to the group’s study of Tanach.
Among the rabbis and lecturers who addressed the program during the months of Tishrei and Cheshvan were Professor Ami Barak; Rabbi Avichai Katzin, Rosh Beit Medrash Reishit; Rabbi Amotz Sarig, director of Machon Isha; Rabbi Tzvi Ezrachi, Rosh Yeshivat Midrashiat Noam in Kfar Saba; Rabbi Moshe Solomon, Rav of Hineni in Kiryat Gat, and others. The lectures take place on 5 Herzl Street in Raanana and welcomes visitors.
