Danielle Hall at Bnei Akiva of Rio de Janeiro

Danielle spent nursery school and first and second grades in Bar Ilan Elementary School in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Apart from the school, the building also accommodates the local Bnei Akiva shul and a spacious hall where kiddushes are conducted on Shabbat and holidays and Torah classes are given during the week.

Recently, Bnei Akiva renovated the hall in order to use it for a special educational project that it introduced called Orot Bnei Akiva. Upon receiving the tragic news of Danielle’s passing, the Bnei Akiva branch leaders determined to dedicate the newly-renovated hall in memory of Danielle and as a tribute to her father Mr. Moti Sonnenfeld, yblch”t, for his generous contributions to the local Jewish community.
