A special memorial evening was hosted in tribute to General (Res.) Avigdor (Yanush) Ben Gal in Yad LaShiryon (Armored Corps Memorial Site and Museum). In attendance were Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu; Minister of Defense Maj. General (Res) Moshe (Bogie) Yaalon; the extended Ben Gal family; IDF generals in service and reserves, and hundreds of Ben Gal’s former subordinates, comrades from all details of the IDF, admirers and friends.

The event was sponsored in part by the Danielle Foundation, with generous support from Mr. Moti Sonnenfeld in memory of his beloved daughter and in tribute to a close friendship with Ben Gal that spanned decades.
