Simchat Beit Hashoeva for Prisoners’ Families

Two years ago, Dror Lamishpacha was founded in order to escort and rehabilitate families of Jewish prisoners.  Mindy Bukspan, whose husband was falsely accused and imprisoned on trumped-up charges, founded Dror Lamishpacha with the aim of lending a supportive shoulder to families with a parent in jail, prevent the deterioration of the family, and keep the suffering children from falling prey to the world of crime. To date, Bukspan’s grassroots organization supports some 300 families of prisoners throughout Israel.

Last Sukkos (5778), the Danielle Sonnenfeld Foundation teamed up with Dror Lamishpacha to sponsor a massive Simchat Beit Hashoeva event specifically for these suffering families and to help them experience the joy of the holiday despite the hardships. Dozens of families of prisoners currently serving jail sentences participated in the event and entered the holiday spirit.
