Once a week, Jews around the world–Rabbis and dayanim, noted educators, businessmen and blue-collared laborers—unite for a riveting study session in Talmud Yerushalmi. This unique learning project, was founded in memory of Rabbi Avraham Glick, z”l, a close friend of Moti Sonnenfeld. Sonnenfeld is a world-famous philanthropist who endeavors with his heart, soul, and resources to bridge between sectors of Orthodox Judaism and unite them all beneath the banner of Torah study and Eretz Yisrael. The weekly Talmud Yerushalmi class is just one of his many educational projects, and it is held in dozens of cities, settlements, and communities in Israel and around the world. The Talmud Yerushalmi project is directed by Rabbi Yisrael Meir Riani, shlit”a, and sponsored by the Danielle Foundation in loving memory and l’ilui nishmat the pure soul of Danielle Sonnenfeld, a”h.
Since its inception, the Talmud Yerushalmi Learning Project has reached the following achievements:
- Thousands of Jews who devote an hour or more every day to learn and delve into the Daf Yomi Yerushalmi.
- Thousands of subscribers to the Yerushalmi Actuali, an internet bulletin that expands upon the Daf Yomi Yerushalmi.
