Danielle was a calm, smiley baby who exuded positive energy. We discerned how very special she was by the time she was only a few weeks old. When she was several months, her love of books was already evident. Danielle listened eagerly to every story I read, so as soon as she began speaking she naturally exhibited a very rich vocabulary relative to her young age. She learned to speak two languages simultaneously—Hebrew and Portuguese, and she instinctively knew whom in the family to address in which language.
