Last Tuesday, October 31, 2017, Bonei Olam welcomed Dr. Shlomi Barak for a visit in their offices. Dr. Barak was just appointed director of the IVF Unit in the new Assuta Hospital in Ashdod. In the course of the meeting between the organization’s directors and Dr. Barak, they discussed the longtime cooperation between Bonei Olam and Assuta, a relationship that they intend to deepen with the opening of the new IVF unit in Ashdod.
The IVF Unit and its private laboratory in the new hospital will be regulated by Lev Danielle Halachic Supervisory System established by Bonei Olam. Both the Unit and lab are equipped with a talented staff and state-of-the-art equipment, and they are looking forward to becoming one of the leading fertility units in the country.
Assuta Public Hospital in Ashdod is a branch of the Assuta Medical Centers which are owned by Maccabi Health Services. The hospital opened the doors to its first units in June 2017 and is slated to open all departments by November 2017. At full capacity, the hospital will accommodate 300 beds, employ 1,200 workers, and service some half-million citizens in Ashdod and its environs.
